What a scam!
I was away for 6 months taking care of my sick relative and came back to over 5k gone from my account. They are refusing a refund.

Worst insurance

I took a mortgage protection plan from this company. They put an exclusion clause to my coverage which prompted me to cancel it.
When i tried to cancel it, twice my call after waiting for 20 minutes each just "dropped" on my third attempt i was able to connect to a very rude Deana which gave me the run around. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy.
Run away if you see this company. Worst policies and worst customer support.

- Access to funds is blocked by hoops and misinformation.
- No accountability and I won't invest with them.
Going through a separation they hold 2 pension plans for me and they have 100 hoops to jump through and everyone is willing to give you the incorrect information. Make it impossible to access your own money.
Wouldn't recommend anyone to invest anything with them if they had a choice I know as soon as i can I will be moving all my money from them. 0 accountability for anyone who serves you with incorrect information Noone cares at all.

- I question how a Canadian insurer has poor service.
Extremely terrible CS, tried calling and was put on hold for 6 hours, not kidding. I purposely did not hang up and was put on hold for 6 hours and the line got cut off.
Emailed them for questions and they ask me to call, called them but 6 hours no one pick up the phone. No idea how it became one of Canada largest insurance company with such poor customer service.

- Had to call 3+ times daily for 2 months; payment was finally made.
I Filed a claim in April 2020 for my bank credit card for job loss. I filled out the paper work and sent it in.
I had to call several times (at least 3 times a day for 2 months) because the payments did not apply to my card. They kept giving me more and more paperwork to fill out until they finally paid my credit card. I had to wait another 2 months for my next payment(s). I kept calling &;;;; then decided to speak to a manager.
I had a rep named Louise who is a complete idiot. I asked if she can place the payment herself, and she says 'I don`t know'. I kept telling her to get me her manager but she refused. I said why aren`t you doing as I says 'They might not be able to help you'.
If your manager is above you I`m pretty sure they have more flex. Anyway she`s a ***
The worst is the actual manager named Roland Fletcher. He couldn`t answer me either when i asked the same question. What makes it worse is that he is supposed to be Louise's boss.
I`m tired of dealing with these idiots.
I use the term idiots because you`re not supposed to use the word retarded'. The good news is I`m done with them but I feel sorry for the people still with manulife dealing with these people.
